Recently, the sand control and wind power photovoltaic integration project in Zhalute Banner, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia officially started!
According to the "Annual Implementation Plan for Tongliao City Sand Control and Wind Power Photovoltaic Integration Project (2024-2030)", by 2030, the total scale of new energy construction of Tongliao City's sand control and wind power photovoltaic integration project will be 3.5 million kilowatts, and 516,000 acres of sand will be treated. Among them, the first batch of projects is 1.1 million kilowatts (400,000 kilowatts of wind power and 700,000 kilowatts of photovoltaic power), located in Zhalute Banner and Kezuozhong Banner of Tongliao City respectively.
The construction started this time is the Zhalute Banner part, which plans to install 200MW wind power and 350MW photovoltaic power, and build supporting energy storage system 82.5MW/165MWh, which will be built by Inner Mongolia Power Investment New Energy Ecological Construction Co., Ltd.
In May 2024, the 1.1 million kilowatt project of sand control and wind power photovoltaic integration in Tongliao City obtained construction indicators. The project site is located in the jurisdiction of Zhalute Banner and Kezuozhong Banner, each implementing 550,000 kilowatts of new energy and 82.5MW/165MWh (15%*2h) of energy storage, with a total investment of approximately 2.24 billion yuan and 2.25 billion yuan respectively (including sand control and desertification control costs).
In August 2024, Diantou Energy and Tongliao Municipal Government signed the "Tongliao City Sand Control and Wind Power Photovoltaic Integration Project Cooperation Framework Agreement", which stipulates that Diantou Energy and Tongliao Xintong Energy Development Co., Ltd. will jointly invest in a joint venture company with a 7:3 equity ratio to be responsible for the implementation of the integrated project in 2024. In September 2024, the two parties signed a supplementary agreement.
On September 9 and September 19, the 550,000 kilowatt (200,000 kilowatts of wind power and 350,000 kilowatts of photovoltaic) projects in Zhalute Banner and Kezuozhong Banner were approved respectively.
