156 x 700W Panels + 2 Battery Sets = 119kW System? Yes!

SUNROVER, a leading innovator in renewable energy solutions, has successfully supplied key components for a newly commissioned 119kW+228kWh solar-plus-storage system in Greece. A Greek customer purchased 156 units of SUNROVER 700W N-type bifacial solar panels and 2 sets of SUNROVER 409.2V 280Ah high-voltage rack-mounted lithium batteries. The complete energy storage system was subsequently assembled by integrating two Deye 50kW energy storage inverters, resulting in a robust distributed solar-storage solution tailored for commercial energy needs.

 

The system's 119kW of solar generation capacity is delivered by SUNROVER 700W N-type TOPCon bifacial panels, which incorporate dual-glass bifacial technology with a 23.50% conversion efficiency rating. Leveraging advanced bi faciality and superior low-irradiance performance, N-type TOPCon technology enables significantly greater energy yield across all ambient conditions. N-type modules exhibit lower power degradation, a lower temperature coefficient, and better performance under low-light conditions. Compared to traditional P-type modules at the same installed capacity, N-type modules generate approximately 5% more annual power output. In high-temperature Mediterranean environments, TOPCon cells also maintain higher output with a favorable -0.30%/°C temperature coefficient, reducing power loss when modules operate at elevated field temperatures. The sustained high-performance power generation is further enhanced by a lower degradation rate, ensuring long-term stable and reliable output over the full service life of the solar array.

 

Complementing the solar generation capacity, the 228kWh storage system is built around two sets of SUNROVER 409.2V 280Ah high-voltage rack-mounted lithium batteries. Compared to conventional low-voltage architectures, high-voltage lithium battery systems reduce current flow for the same power output, minimizing transmission losses and improving overall system efficiency. At 409.2V nominal voltage, this architecture also reduces copper conductor requirements, simplifies cable sizing, and yields a more compact, efficient design. The system achieves round-trip efficiencies as high as 98–99%, significantly reducing energy loss compared to lower-voltage configurations. The discharge platform of high-voltage batteries remains stable throughout the discharge cycle, delivering consistent power suitable for high-demand commercial loads. The reduced current also lowers thermal generation, enhancing safety while maintaining stable power output.
